Random September/October

We made a quick visit to the county fair. It was small and expensive. However, we splurged and rode this beautiful ferris wheel.

Then saw some farm animals and walked through the exhibit hall.

I think the kids favorite part was collecting free stuff from vendors in the exhibit hall. AND we came home with cotton candy.

One of Jackson's Friday date days at Copperhead Island. He's such a peaceful, thoughtful soul.

Hiking with dinner afterwards is the best. Loved Mac's Speed Shop, my new favorite BBQ place in Charlotte.

Sunday morning guest services team at church. I have lots of fun with these guys.

Josh got free tickets to the Panthers game again. Score!

The best part was that we were in the shade so we survived the heat.

Got to see a few of these with the barely there rain and sunny day combos.

We went to Dallas for business and I about fainted when I saw Jordan Rodgers at the Charlotte airport. EEEEK! He's the main guy from the prime time show I just finished watching, The Bachlorette. He was even on our flight!

Josh slept the entire way to Dallas but I was way too excited! I watched a beautiful sunrise out the window and took pictures.

Addy's room was painted sky blue and updated from little girl to preteen. She also got a new bike that was long overdue. She's been riding around the neighborhood and loving it.

Our friends, Pat & Allison Hogan from bible study, moved in with us for 2 weeks between houses. The kids loved their baby Preston. It was so fun having roommates. We miss them!

I went with Benny on his 1st elementary school field trip to the children's library downtown to see a play.

Another Jackson date, this time to nearby Big Rock Nature Preserve to hike.

Church picnic at Country Days Farm.

Which included a corn maze, slide, slingshot, bonfire with fall food, and some other fun stuff...

like a hayride to and from the parking lot. This sweet child also got a new bike and learned to ride it without training wheels. Always proud of him.
