A Mild Winter

DEC 27th...Finally, Benny is fever free and we're all happy to be outdoors.

JAN 10th...Several Charlotte museums were free. We decided to go to both art museums.

My mom was in town for the weekend so she got to come too.

Afterwards, we ate at Donatos pizza. It's our favorite place to eat in Cincy. We're happy to have one here.

I guess the kids were inspired because they made their own museum.

All the rocks and gems were labelled with names and pronunciations.

JAN 19th...Makes me cold just watching. Notice Jackson in the background with an umbrella.

I love Addy's face in this picture. She's having so much fun.

JAN 23rd...We visited the Schiele Museum on the west side of Charlotte.

Got in FREE with our passes! We're planning to go again soon for the planetarium show.

There was even an outdoor section with an Indian village and creek.

FEB 1st...This sweet boy turned 4!

We celebrated with an early morning family party.

I think he likes it. Such a boy!

No party is complete without a birthday cake.

As part of Benny's birthday, we went back to the North Carolina Zoo to see all that we missed the first time.

Aaron walked around with Addy's ear muffs. He is not phased by pink or purple yet.

One of my favorite sections of the zoo is the aviary. They have some very fancy and beautiful birds.

We got to see this momma lion and her 4 cubs get fed cow bones. She let her babies eat first.

Afterwards we stopped at a locally owned BBQ place. This little guy was exhausted from a long day of birthday fun.
