Knoxville Trip

On Valentine's weekend, we went to Knoxville for an overnight.
On our way into town we went to the Knoxville Zoo for FREE with our passes.
Addy was grossed out by the apes because they kept going to the bathroom.
Most of the animals were inside because of the weather so we were able to see them very close up.
This little gibbon monkey was one of our favorites.
The zoo also had a komodo dragon, armadillo, lions, giraffes, tigers, bears, and all sorts of monkeys.
Benny up close to a river otter. Winter is the best time to go to the zoo. No crowds!
The main reason for our trip was to meet up with my mom and Mark. They brought us the rest of our Christmas gifts.
Mason came too. He loved all the boy action.
The kids favorite part of the trip was the pool. For the first time ever, Josh and I didn't have to get in so we relaxed poolside.
Here's Grandpa Mark and cousin Mason just before leaving for home. We had to swim again before heading out.
Monday the kids were off school for President's Day. Then they were off again Tuesday for our first snow/ice of the winter. Josh was off work too.
Now I'm modivated to buy some sleds. Our driveway would make an awesome sledding hill.
The kids enjoyed breaking all the ice and eating icicles.
And eating whole chunks of snow covered ice.
