COVID-19 Quarantine
The kids had their last real day of school this year on March 11th. Yesterday they finished "distance learning" and I think they all did amazing.
Here's Benny zooming with his class. He & Aaron shared the computer easily since Benny is an early riser, done before Aaron was even up some mornings.
Mr Meticulous. It took him awhile to get it but by the end he didn't even need my help. I'm so proud of Aaron, he got highest GPA in the entire 5th grade again!!
Addy's usual kitchen table location. Notice the kitty on her lap. This homebody was very happy with the situation.
The kids even had Chapel. It was neat to see them all watching and taking notes together. But we did fast forward through the music. SHH!
Near the end of the year, teachers stopped by our house to drop off treats and honor their students. I was touched, sniff, sniff. Our school is awesome!
Josh's office closed on March 24th when "Stay-At-Home" orders began. What a blessing to be home during springtime!
My very favorite azaleas come back bigger every year.
We've spent lots of time outside, playing basketball (Jackson's getting so good), taking walks and bike rides. We even got to see some amazing sunsets.
And baby owls x2!!
Easter came and went with an indoor egg hunt but no Mimi, extended family or friends.
We watched church on-line like many other Sundays. Our church is still closed.
These 2 have enjoyed having all of us around.
I cleaned and organized everyone's room within the first few weeks. And even talked Aaron into moving out of Benny's room, to his own. Prince Aaroncio!!
Mimi eventually felt comfortable enough to come over. She brought treats & bingo!
Another time she came with croquet!
We didn't stop seeing friends for very long. Steph, Khan and Chloe came over for a cookout and to plant a garden! Thanks Khan, the garden master according to the kids.
The Molskness crew has been over a few times, my friend Allison and her littles, and finally Amanda and Zachary!!!
Last weekend was Memorial Day. We were supposed to travel to Arizona/Utah but canceled. Instead we had our 1st official family outing to Khan's parents pool.
It was the most fun we've had in a long time!
They even gave wild rides in their UTV. Addy got a driving lesson and only hit one tree. HA!
Although it feels as if no time has passed, Steph's belly has not stopped growing. Baby girl Sophie is due to arrive this August!
Blessed! I LOVE our people. Thankful not to know anyone with this virus.
Josh's work opened on May 11th after 7 weeks. It feels like a normal summer until I leave the house and see people wearing masks. And then I remember.
