Amanda's 40th Birthday Cruise
Just over a week ago we joined Amanda for her big birthday bash. Here we are on the Carnival Sunshine leaving from Charleston. This is a view of the lobby and her favorite bar we called the orange bar.
Here's a nice view of the main deck of the boat and our friend Kim!
Amanda & Molly at the comedy show on our 1st night.
The 1st night was Amanda's actual birthday so Molly & I made sure to stay up as late as she wanted to celebrate.
Our room which was in a nice lower, middle area of the boat. Less rocky than the rest. Phew!
The creepy port-a-potty/airplane toilet.
The crew minus 2 on formal night. We really enjoyed the nightly fancy dinners.
This was my favorite night. The newly wed dating show. It was hilarious and so fun to laugh!!
Dance party on deck afterwards. And it was finally warm.
The best part of the entire week was the LAND! We spent a few hours on this pretty beach. That's our boat in the background. We were shuttled over by a smaller one.
The entire crew. I love these people. They made the week so fun and I miss not seeing them. Thanks Amanda for having us & Mimi for taking great care of the kids!
Hallelujah! We made it home with no issues. All cruises shut down 1 week after our return because of COVID-19.
We've been home just over a week and our city is slowing shutting down everything to slow the spread of the corona virus. The kids are out of school for the next 2 weeks at least.
