The Quarry at Carrigan Farms
On Monday we drove about an hour to Mooresville, NC to go swimming at Carrigan Farms. The quarry was used back in the 60s to build I-77 until they hit a natural spring.
They found another place to dig and this one was used as a gorgeous natural spring swimming hole. About the only way in the water is to jump off the rocks!
Steph & Chloe came with us. Everything is more fun with friends.
The water was a beautiful emerald green. It was so clean and clear.
Crazy brave Benny jumped off the very highest rocks.
There were several ladders to get out (but not in) and this rocky rope ramp.
We got Aaron in and he even jumped off the highest rocks. He wasn't himself since he puked after the car ride.
Chloe is just as brave as Benny. She was the only one of us who rode the zip line.
Only adults could take a swim test to not wear life jackets. But us moms were just fine wearing them, makes swimming much more relaxing.
The high dive, 17 feet, his 2nd time.
He eventually learned the torpedo formation so his hands and feet wouldn't smack the water as hard.
So creative. The place supplied noodles. That kid made a pile and jumped on them.
Addy is on vacation with her best friend Keira in Florida. Jackson was not interested in swimming so he sat by our stuff and read his book.
