Harper Creek Falls
We finally made it to the Wilson Creek area to hike Harper Creek Falls. Josh has been anxious to go since last summer.
These pictures were taken just a short walk from the road, an unplanned pull off on our way to the trail head. Notice the kayakers in the background. The view up river.
The scenery was magnificent! And if hot, just dip your feet in the water to cool off.
The view down river.
The hike to the falls was about 3 miles round trip. The kids are now able to handle this distance well.
The view from the top.
To get down to the bottom of the waterfall, we have to use a rope because it was so steep.
Looks small unless you use Josh as a comparison. He's near the down log on the left.
My very favorite picture of the day! And notice the camera setting change. Still not right though.
These were taken from another pull off on the way out.
Proof I was there.
Skipping rocks in a calm part of the river. Josh really wanted to swim but it was too cold for him.
Awww. Look how big my baby is getting.
We hosted a cookout with our new small group. I'm really excited about this group. I knew all of the people already but look forward to getting to know them better. 8 adults, 16 kids!
