JULY Already!

DUPONT STATE FOREST A few weeks ago we visited some waterfalls in the Dupont State Forest.
Since it was so warm, we got to swim.
Josh even went under the waterfall and slid out the front of it.
These waterfalls were featured in the movie Hunger Games.
Sweet daddy daughter moment.
4TH OF JULY We spend the 4th downtown aka uptown Charlotte, only a 15 minute drive from home.
Aaron & Benny had a blast playing in the fish fountain.
This park is called The Green featured in the show Homeland.
It has very soft Bermuda grass that the kids loved playing on.
We ate lunch at a pizza place by the park.
Afterwards we explored Charlotte's newest park called Romare Bearden Park.
They have push button misters to cool off.
And this beautiful waterfall that is lit up at night.
So fun for kids.
We went home and came back at night for the fireworks. Aaron didn't make it.
We watched from outside the new baseball stadium of the minor league Charlotte Knights.
GRANDMA NEUBAUER'S HERE Uncle Bernie was so sweet to drive Grandma down on the 6th. He flew home the next day.
So it's official...Mimi has moved to NC! We've been taking her to all of our favorite places.
She even found a house on the 1st day she was here! She'll be staying with us until her closing on Aug 22nd.
SUMMERTIME FUN The boys found this really cool turtle on our driveway.
Addy loves the neighbor's cat. She's been in charge of feeding it most of this summer when they are gone to their home in the mountains. He even sleeps on our deck.
It's just now getting hot here.
We need to do more of this.
