Our baby is growing fast! At his 1 month doctors visit he was 22 1/4'' and 11lbs 13oz. He's obviously a fantastic eater and is quick too.
As far as personality goes, he's most similar to Addy as a baby. He cries loud and often. But his happy times are getting longer, and we're learning ways to soothe him.
Our main goal has been to put him to sleep.
He sleeps best when someone is holding him. Josh was in the basement in charge of watching the kids. Thankfully they play great together and don't need much supervision.
We've been trying to find ways to keep him asleep without someone holding him. The car seat on the running dryer worked great. He also likes the swing.
This is his favorite place to spend the day. I've worn this thing for hours at a time. I'm also using the pacifier whenever he'll take it. Both of which, we didn't use much with our other kids.
The kids have hardly noticed baby Ben. Jackson is most interested and will talk or touch Ben, especially when I'm trying to feed him.
The transition has been easy on the kids and I because of all the help we've had. Josh has been off work a bunch. And Joyce was able to help and meet the baby.
Then my mom came and stayed for over 2 weeks! This has made the time go by so fast. So after all this help, and Josh being around more often, I've only been on my own for 2 full days!
It's also been wonderful having dinner brought over by friends. Thank you to everyone who brought us dinner! And thank you Neville's for the gift card, I've already ordered diapers twice.

Love this post, Jessie! He is SOOOO CUTE! I love newborns.
And Nate and I got a kick out of the picture of Josh sleeping. He is engulfed by toys! Wow.
The newborn days with Matthew weren't that long ago, and it was definitely hard to get him to sleep well. I remember just holding him for 45 minutes at a time so that he could get some sleep in, so that I could stretch out the time between feedings (a la Babywise). Hang in there, it will get better (as you know). Enjoy!!
