Eventful Trip to the NC Zoo

We had a day off school so we went with friends to the zoo. We got to see the giraffes. Then on our way to the next exhibit, the kids stopped to climb some boulders & an unfortunate event happened.

Sweet Aaron feel and split his knee open. So Josh and I left the kids with my friend Stephanie & her daughter Chloe, and we took him to urgent care.

He was so brave and the worst part was the numbing needle. Just 8 stitches later, he was happy to get McDonald's for lunch and head back to the zoo.

We caught up with our crew, which had been joined by Kristie and her kiddos.

Aaron got quite the greeting from everyone as they were all very concerned.

We got to see at least half the zoo with everyone. See the grizzly bear cooling off in the water?

Chloe is in Aaron's class at school. Her and Addy are buddies. They look very related.

The polar bear was everyone's favorite!

This one kept swimming in the same pattern right past us. His paws were HUGE!

The kids played in the water area but Aaron started getting sad that he couldn't play & it was getting late.

So we took the tram back to the parking area and saw the elephants before leaving to go home.
