Easter in Hilton Head
Oh, glorious Hilton Head! Friday we headed to one of our favorites places.
Our first stop was the Pinckney Wildlife Refuge.
It's a nesting place for these beautiful birds.
In our short walk around the pond we saw 7 alligators!
After checking into our villa, the kids enjoyed the indoor pool all to themselves.
The complex had a hottub too!
Pizza on the balcony makes the perfect dinner.
And finally a walk to the beach before the rain.
Kayaking on day 2 with the threat of rain but thankfully it held off.
These handsome boys enjoyed their ride even though we didn't get to see any dolphins.
Afterwards we played mini golf, ate lunch out, and went shopping at some fun stores so the kids could spend their Easter money from Mimi.
The kids were in and out of the pool again all day.
Easter day the rain finally came. We had an Easter egg hunt and the kids played with the things from their Easter baskets.
Then we went to the beach and got rained on. It was so fun and thankfully not cold.
We found a few cannonball jellyfish. I love Benny's expression.
And lots of time spent in the pool. Aaron got this new float in his basket.
Monday was our last and best weather day. We spent the day at the Sea Pines Forest Preserve.
First we took a hike through the Vanishing Swamp.
My sweet foursome. Vacation wouldn't be the same without them.
Spanish moss is so beautiful!
One of several gator filled lakes.
We saw so many alligators I lost count and never got tired of seeing them.
Be still my heart...
We made a quick stop at the stables with free petting zoo.
Then let the kids play at the Harbor Town playground before heading home.
