Snow Days
The kids got a day off school, for the first and possibly only snowfall this year. Church was also canceled. I love that we get to live in NC and still get snow.
First thing in the morning sledding. Our driveway is the perfect sledding hill.
Even Josh and I played. The next day I had bruises but it was well worth it.
Snowballs were made, thrown and eaten. The best part about Carolina snow is that you can play in it for hours since it's not too cold outside.
The Molskness family came over the next day to enjoy some sledding too. By then our driveway had become a sheet of ice.
These two! We were quite impressed with Bruce's sledding skills.
The cardinal is the NC state bird. They are most beautiful in a snowy setting.
My favorite little person turned 5 on February 1st. He got to pick out a combo gift from us and great grandma which he carried proudly through the mall.
After school, we had a family party with grandma, pizza, cake, and a scavenger hunt outside for gifts. It was a rare almost 70 degree day.
He was excited to bring a birthday treat to school the next day. All grown up drinking some hot chocolate.
The circus came to Charlotte and we bought grandma tickets for Christmas this year.
It was quite the show! The kids were speechless and by the end overstimulated.
Now Joyce can cross off one of her bucket list items.
Here's a random picture of the girls in my small group. We meet every Wednesday night for dinner and bible study. The husbands come too, there's just not pictured.
The weather was nice enough to have a bonfire one night with our neighbor Nathan.
I can't believe my girl is changing into a teenager right before my eyes. This picture is on the way home from the geography bee. Both her and Jackson represented their grades at the regional bee.
