Aaron Paul Neubauer
Our baby boy finally arrived Monday around 5:30pm weighing 8lb 12oz and measuring 21" long. My water 1/2 broke around 9am and contractions started 1-2 hours later. Grandma Neubauer was already here to take the kids. Josh came home from work we headed for the hospital. The doctor (Hubbell) ended up giving me pitocin to speed things along but breaking the rest of my water dilated me fully in an hour. The epidural was the worst part as they messed it up on the first try and had to give it a second time. I only had to push for 5 min and he was born. I had some bleeding issues afterward and lots of painful contractions. That's the very shortened and sweetened story.
Aaron was so calm the first 24 hours of life. He didn't cry much and he wouldn't nurse at all which worried Josh and I. But thankfully last night he started acting more like a baby crying and wanting to nurse. His temperament seems similar to Jackson's. And he's got the sweetest little cry.
I think he looks so much like Josh since his hair is dark. He also looks similar to Addy when she was a baby but his cry is way quieter.
Here he is this evening sleeping peacefully. We're all looking forward to tomorrow when the kids come home from Grandma's house and get to meet their new little brother.

I still laugh when I think about Josh saying, "Well, the epidural doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier..." and all the guys gave him the funniest look. That was a great moment. Sorry your epidural didn't work out the first time. Congrats on Aaron, he is beautiful!
